the hand gesture is a serbian sign. the three fingers are there because the number three is very lucky to serbs.

Actually it has multiple meanings. Some people believe that it represents 3 colors of the serbian flag and others believe that it's the serbian symbol for peace…

The thumb and two fingers of the right hand held up like that signify the Troika (Trinity). The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. When you bring those three fingers closed together, it is the three tips closed together that Serbian Orthodox (and all Orthodox Christian) people cross themselves with. It's not just a "lucky number." The red bracelet Divac is wearing is a prayer knot braclet probably purchased at a Serbian monestary where monks and nuns hand make these.
